The 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ: Premier All-Electric SUV Builds on Last Year’s Debut with a New Drivetrain and Charging Port

For starters, this all-electric SUV introduces a new rear-wheel drive (RWD) system with terrific range and ample power. Power and Performance

This five-passenger electric SUV comes in four trims. Standard across the lineup is a single electric motor / RWD powertrain that achieves 315 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. All trims can upgrade to a dual-motor / AWD powertrain capable of 440 horsepower and 498 lb-ft of torque. Acceleration is instantaneous and exhilarating, and the driving experience is further enhanced by the near-50/50 weight distribution and low center of gravity boasted by this new Cadillac EV.

Range and Charging

Range-wise, RWD models offer an EPA-estimated 317 miles, while AWD-equipped trims get an EPA-estimated 303 miles of range. And when it’s time to recharge, the new NACS charger on the 2026 Cadillac OPTIQ is compatible with more than 23,000 Tesla Superchargers across North America. This is an addition to over 250,000 standard Level 2 public chargers and Level 3 DC Fast Charging stations. At the latter, you can get up to 81 miles of range in about 10 minutes. You can also purchase an available Level 2 GM Energy PowerShift wall charger for your home, which provides up to 59 miles of range per hour.
