Cadillac LYRIQ Home Charging Information is in Lincolnwood

The Cadillac LYRIQ is taking alternative energy driving in a whole new direction. This model is a Cadillac to its’ core thanks to its luxury and high-tech features. Additionally, it delivers on impressive performance even without the internal combustion engine.
Here at Zeigler Cadillac of Lincolnwood, we’re excited to share the Cadillac LYRIQ and everything you need to know about charging it at home.
Can you Charge the Cadillac LYRIQ at Home?
Because the Cadillac LYRIQ is a fully electric vehicle, and one with a range of more than 300 miles, it will rely on either Level 2 or Level 3 charging. Level 1 charging is a low voltage option already available with most home outlets but is typically reserved for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
Level 2 charging is easy to install in your home. It is the mid-level voltage for charging, which allows you to charge overnight and keep your vehicle powered up for daily driving. Level 3 charging, on the other hand, is known as fast charging and delivers on too high a voltage to be eligible for at-home use.
Not only can you charge your Cadillac LYRIQ at home, but it’s actually getting easier. That’s because Cadillac is offering charging incentives with purchase of the 2023 model. You’ll have two options to pick from when it’s time to take home your new Cadillac: charging credits for stations or the home.
With charging station credits, Cadillac drivers will enjoy unlimited charging for two years at all EVgo charging stations. EVgo offers fast charging and has more than 850 stations in 30 states. The other option is an at-home Level 2 charger installation credit of $1,500 with Cadillac’s installation company. With Level 2 at-home charging, you’ll charge your new Cadillac LYRIQ up to 52 miles per hour.
