There are many ways to protect and maintain your Cadillac vehicle, and one of them includes being prepared for any eventuality. That’s why our team here at Zeigler Cadillac of Lincolnwood is sharing a list of best tools and forms to keep in your car in the event of an emergency, including some of the following.

Documents

There are a few essential documents that you’ll always want to have on hand when you get behind the wheel. Specifically, that includes the vehicle registration and proof of insurance. You also want to make sure you have your driver’s license on your person when you drive. It’s also a good idea to have emergency medical information and contacts in the vehicle, as well.

Jumper Cables

One of the most common roadside assistance needs for vehicles is a jumpstart. When our batteries become old or an appliance is left on, the battery can lose capacity. In that case, you’ll need a set of jumper cables to hook your vehicle up to another car for a start. You can swap out cables for a jumper pack, which doesn’t require another vehicle.

Jack and Spare

Another common roadside service need is a tire replacement, for if you develop a flat. In addition to the spare tire, itself, which you should service and maintain with the rest of your vehicle’s tires, you’ll want to have your jack on hand, as well as a lug wrench for getting off the lug nuts.

Here at Zeigler Cadillac of Lincolnwood, you’ll find more best practices for caring for your vehicle. If your vehicle needs roadside care, make sure to bring it down to our service center for inspections and repairs you can trust.
